Resolv-Rf™ Silica Hard Layer (HL) TLC Plates are made with standard grade Silica 60, which has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. This analytical hard layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Resolv-Rf™ TLC Plates are suitable for all common separations. The layer has a hardness that is abrasion resistant and can be easily labeled with a lead pencil for clear identification. The dense coating yields narrow bands for a high separation efficiency. Applications include: drug synthesis compounds, identity of drugs, food and environmental samples, quality control testing of pharmaceuticals, etc. Made in the U.S.A.

"Silica G" is a standard grade, unmodified Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical soft layer is bound to a plastic support. It has a thickness of 200um and dimensions of 2.5x7.5cm. There are 200 plates per pack.

Cellulose 300 PEI, polyester backed TLC plates contain fibrous cellulose impregnated with polyethyleneimine. The coating thickness is 100um and dimensions are 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Applications include: analysis of nucleic acids, and of mutagenic substances with the 32P post-labelling procedure (see Sorbtech Application No. 402260.) Cellulose ion exchange layers are suited for the separation of substances with exchange-active groups. Consequently they are used for the separation of amino acids, peptides, enzymes, nucleic acid constituents (nucleotides, nucleosides) etc. PEI is not a chemically modified cellulose, but a complex of cellulose and poly- ethyleneimine. PEI cellulose is a relatively strong anion exchanger. PEI layers should be stored in a refrigerator at 4C. An important application of CEL 300 PEI is the analysis of mutagenic substances with a 32P postlabelling procedure.

This thin layer chromatography (TLC) plate comprises a C2 Silica layer. It can be developed with purely organic, organic/aqueous and purely aqueous eluents. Thus the phase finds numerous applications in normal phase chromatography as well as in the reversed phase mode. The relative polarity of the eluent determines the polarity of the layer. The Silica 60 has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, particle size of 5-17um, and pH stability of 2-10. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. The UV-absorbing substances appear as dark-blue to black spots on a light - blue background. This analytical layer is bound to a glass support. Silica Gel G & GF UNIPLATES are the most widely used silica gel TLC plates. No organic substances are added to these products, thus making them compatible with sulfuric acid charring visualization. These plates are commonly scraped from the glass backing to isolate separated components for other analytical procedures. They are compatible with all organic solvents, however, they are not recommended for use in systems containing greater than 20% water because of the solubility of the gypsum binder in aqueous solutions.
